Bill Connor, Age 50

River of Hope Foundation was created in honor of Bill Connor, former owner of Prairie Coach, creator of Angel Bus and friend to anyone in need. In August of 2004, Bill lost his son to a long battle with cancer. Within weeks, Bill, himself, was diagnosed with leukemia. Through numerous rounds of chemo and a bone marrow transplant, his cancer was in remission. Unfortunately, it returned in 2008, and after a final valiant fight, Bill lost his battle to leukemia later that year. Bill was able to enjoy his River of Hope retreat for only a short time, but Bill’s ‘River of Hope’ continues to be a place of healing and remembrance for his family and friends.
